The garden 2008

Ok so i am finally posting a new blog...ive been so busy with the kids being on summer vacation. We spend alot of time outside. Last week we had vacation bible school at our church (mt zion) from 1-3 then at salesville church of faith at 6-8:30, so we had a busy busy week. The kids had a blast, but i think they were as glad as me to see the end of the week. So far this week we have done nothing. Thursday night after Darrell gets off work we are headed to Ashland Kentucky for a few days to spend the 4th with his family. Im really excited, we have not seen them since last easter (2007). Alyssa was just a few months old, i cannot wait to see how they react to her. I will be sure to take alot of pictures to share. I have added some pics below of our garden and melon patch. Hope everyone is enjoying their summer..till my next blog..take care and god bless!

Zuccini....

a close up of a few of the cucumber plants....this is one of the thing im most excited about...

Cucumbers....the first row that i planted never came up so they were replanted.

ended up with about 35 plants...think thats enough? lol

a picture from the bottom half of the garden....

ahhhh look at the weeds....

A pepper plant with some buds/flowers starting on it...Mmmmm!

This is one of the 4 pumpkin plants, the others were just to small to take a picture of..

these come from seeds that r from a almost 800 lb pumpkin. I cannot wait for pumpkins to grow on it, maybe we will have some big ones. ..ill try to keep taking pics of them at different stages to share.

They r kinda hard to see but theres a row of cantelope plants in this picture....

they have just been in for 8 days so they r a lil behind the rest of the stuff.

The garden.....tomatoes, potatoes, onions, peppers, brussel sprouts,

zuccuni, cucumbers and green beans....

The recent rains have really made things take off..

unfortunitely it has made the weeds take off too!
